Open the app, draw your first doodle or select a game mode from the Arcade tab, and tap Send. Share your private invitation link via Messages or email. Once your friend opens the link and accepts, your game begins!
Whenever you finish a Remix Relay or Finish the Picture game, SketchPing generates an animated stroke-by-stroke Transformation Reel replaying the entire creative evolution from start to finish. Completed reels are permanently archived in your private friendship Scrapbook so you can rewatch them anytime.
No. SketchPing is private by design. Drawings travel in encrypted .spdg envelopes and are accessible exclusively to you and your invited friend. There are no public galleries, feeds, third-party ads, or search indexes.
You receive 50 free Sketch Coins upon onboarding, and earn more on every turn you complete, correct guess you make, and game you finish. Coins can be spent in the in-app Shop to unlock permanent cosmetic items like the 1-Bit Pixel Brush, Chalk, Crayon, Watercolor, Calligraphy Pen, custom color palettes, and textured paper backgrounds. There are no real-money purchases required.
Tap the menu icon inside any active friendship or turn card and select Report or Block. Blocking immediately freezes the friendship and prevents the user from contacting you again.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Invitation link opens the web browser instead of the app: Ensure you have the SketchPing app installed. On iOS and Android, verified Universal Links automatically hand off to the app when tapped from messages.
- Notifications not arriving: Check your device settings under Notifications > SketchPing to make sure alerts and badges are enabled.
